Budget Simulator

People in Maidstone are being given the chance to set out what they would like the council to spend its money on. Maidstone Borough Council has created an online budget simulator where residents can log on and have their say on how the money should be spent.

The Lib Dem Administration is keen that residents have an opportunity to make their views known and see for themselves the impact of increasing or reducing spend in a particular area. The information will be used by the Council in setting 2008/2009 budget.

Council Leader Fran Wilson said, "We want people to be involved in the budget and make priorities known."
